Saul [Paul] was totally committed to whatever task was at hand – whether or not that was always necessarily a good thing. At the same time, that total commitment could be used to bring about much good and that, of course, is what the Lord achieves through Paul's conversion and his subsequent preaching. Whatever we do, we need to do it with commitment, generosity and faithfulness after the example of St Joseph the Worker, who used his skills and energy to do what God asked of him.
