The Bread of Life

There is a deep longing in every human heart that can only be satisfied by God. Anything else is but a temporary distraction. This longing can be viewed as a hunger or thirst or as a mysterious wanting for ‘I don’t quite know’. “Thou has made us for thyself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee” (St Augustine). God can speak to us through our deeper desires.
