Disaster

The chosen people wandered off the path marked out for them and Moses, their leader, came upon them worshipping a golden calf. Moses was shocked at the disastrous situation and pleaded with God to relent and turn away from bringing disaster on the people he had chosen and on Moses their leader. God listened to Moses and did not treat his people as they deserved. When in life do we need to earnestly plead with God to avert a disaster? Lord, remember us for the love you bear your people.
