St Joseph, Husband of Mary (S)

An honourable man

St Joseph, husband of Mary and guardian of Jesus, provided a safe and loving environment for his wife, Mary and her child, Jesus. He was an honest worker as he plied his trade as a carpenter. Joseph took his family to a safe refuge when they were in danger during the early days of Jesus’ life. He went to look for his pre-adolescent boy who was embarking on his Father’s business. Let us give thanks for all husbands, fathers, mentors, role models and all men who care for others. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy will be done.
