Resistance

Sometimes our first response to what seems to be an unlikely solution is to resist, question and walk away. We need wise supporters just like Naaman had in his servants who reasoned with Naaman to accept the advice to bathe in the Jordan in order to be healed from his disease. Jesus experienced resistance from some of those who found his message unbelievable. Some walked away; others wanted to push Jesus over the cliff. Let us pray that we take a breath and listen to the wise words of people around us. We may even hear the voice of the Spirit within us. O send forth your light and your truth; let these be my guide.
