Choice!

Jesus was unconcerned when criticised for choosing Matthew, a hated a tax-collector and probable collaborator with the Roman invaders. It doesn’t matter what others think or judge. Jesus sees well beyond surface appearances, deep into our souls. He sees our inner thoughts; he knows our potential.

Prayer: Christ Jesus, help me not to think badly of others or to judge them unworthy. Help me rather marvel that I have been chosen; to know and value the gift you see in me and to offer it wholly to your service.
