St Peter’s Chair (F)

1 Peter 5:1-4; Psalm 23; Matthew 16:13-19

Fear nothing!

Since the fourth century this feast has been honoured, celebrating the ‘Rock’ on which Christ built the Church. It is timely and important to remember Pope Francis in prayer today. As successor of St Peter he leads a Church struggling with its own image, urging us to find more effective ways to engage with today’s world.

Pray this verse from Psalm 23: (Shepherd God) guide me along the right path… If I should walk in the valley of darkness, I will fear nothing, for you are there.
