My own cross!

Jesus doesn’t ask me to help carry his cross, but to carry my own and follow him. This is a crunch point in Christian discipleship: the carrying of the cross, my own cross! There is no escaping the fact that the way of Jesus is a way of the cross. Use these days immediately before Lent, to reflect on the cross that is personal to you. How might it hinder, or help, slow you down or quicken you, in following Jesus?
