Remembering!

“Lord, remember us for the love you bear your people”. The Response to today’s Psalm shows how much we rely on God’s faithfulness. Like Solomon (1st Reading) we can forget “the God who saves us” and act as though we don’t need God, or drift away to follow other gods.

Jesus found faith unexpectedly, in the lives of foreigners (Gospel). It pained him that so many of his own had lost faith.

Where is God in my life? Has my relationship with the God revealed in Jesus deepened or weakened? The answer will show in the love I bear God’s people.
