Isaiah 66:10-14; Psalm 131; Matthew 18:1-5

In silence and peace

St Thérèse Martin’s reputation goes before her. Born in 1873, at 15 she left her parents and two brothers to join her three sisters in the Carmelite Convent at Lisieux. Thérèse, known as ‘the Little Flower’, lived her contemplative vocation in obscurity, yet her prayer embraced people in need throughout the world. She prayed to Our Father with the trust and simplicity of a child. Thérèse died of tuberculosis in 1897, was canonised in 1925 and proclaimed a Doctor in the Spiritual Life in 1997.

Sit with Thérèse before our Lord and pray Psalm 131.
