Grief

How often it seems that our grief leads us to Jesus. How often does our grief, or our need for healing, become the prelude to richer faith?

The Jewish president of the local synagogue is heartbroken at the death of his daughter. Immediately Jesus sets out to answer his request to bring her back to life. While on his way in the pressing crowd he is aware of a woman touching his cloak as she also seeks healing from him.

Notice how Jesus is aware of the crowd and aware of the individual within the crowd. Perhaps if I learnt the name of one new parishioner each week I could do the same, or rather, Jesus could bring healing to another through me?
