To be the goodness of God

What we are to believe is that Jesus died so that we may be reconciled with God. Paul tells us it is all God’s work. There is a new creation, a new way of living in the world. Through Christ and his death on the cross, God has reconciled us to himself. We are now called to live in oneness with God and to be the goodness of God in this world. Jesus expresses it in today’s gospel reading. Don’t adopt the practices of the godless. Say ‘yes’ if you mean yes, ‘no’ if you mean no. That is how God is.
