Keeping the rules

Jesus lived in a society that was tightly governed by laws. He frequently took issue with many of those laws and especially with how they were enforced. What he taught is that we are always to respect the rules and to observe them until their purpose is fulfilled. What Jesus also recognised was that many laws outlive their purpose. Can you let go of what no longer fulfils its purpose?
