Active love

The ten commandments are our Maker's instructions for a happy, healthy community. But Jesus' commands ask us to go further. Feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, visit the sick. These are positive acts, not merely don't do this or that. They are demonstrations of our love for Christ. We cannot just sit at home and say I haven't slain anyone, I didn't covet my neighbour’s wife or her BMW. I must actively love all those I meet. Te Wairua Tapu - the Holy Spirit, is our guide in all our decisions.
