Minds, eyes and ears open?

The first reading tells us that the wickedness the Lord saw in people’s hearts caused him to grieve. The Gospel reading suggests that their sinfulness was the product of minds and memories closed to God’s goodness in the past; of blindness to the beauty and wonders of creation; of deafness to God’s word. Lord, open my mind, my eyes, my ears, my heart, so that you may bless me with peace.
