Physician

Jesus saw himself as a physician. He is interested and concerned with the sick. He sees sin as a sickness and wants to address it. He does not confuse the sin with the sinner as we tend to do. He befriends the sinners and attends to their needs. Our sins invite the special attention of the skilled and compassionate physician.
