ST LUKE
2 Timothy 4:10-17;
Psalm 145; Luke 10:1-9
There for Each Other
We know a lot, comparatively, about Luke. He was a doctor; he wrote one of the Gospels and also the Acts of the Apostles. He was a companion of Paul, who both influenced him and valued him (as today’s first reading tells us) because Luke was reliable and dependable. We all face challenges in living as disciples . We need people in our lives who are reliable and dependable. In turn, we need to be reliable and dependable for others. That, as Luke shows us, is one of the marks of being a disciple.
