Unless a wheat grain dies

Archbishop Oscar Romero preached on this gospel at his last mass. In his homily he said “all that we cultivate on earth, if we nourish it with Christian hope, will never be a failure.” Shortly after, he was shot and killed. Dead, because he was a servant and follower of Christ. Dead because he cultivated justice, hope, love, non-violence and was a cheerful giver – of everything. Walk in a garden today and think about what sort of giver you are and what seeds you are sowing.
