I have come in the name of my Father
While Moses worshipped God on the mountain, the people rebelled and worshipped a calf of molten metal. Having sinned grievously, Moses interceded for them and won them God’s mercy. In the Gospel, Jesus was confronted by the hardened hearts of the Jewish leaders. They rebelled against Jesus. They rejected his miracles and teachings as signs that the Kingdom of God had come.
Lord Jesus, help me stay focussed on you. May my heart be tender and attentive to You and my neighbour. “Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. Enkindle in them the fire of your Love.”
