Sts Timothy and Titus, Bishops
2 Timothy 1:1-8; Psalm 96; Mk 4:26-34
Grace, mercy and peace from God
Paul left Timothy in charge of the church at Ephesus and sent Titus to Crete. Paul shows us how to care for a friend. He prays for Timothy and recalls the strength of his faith, hoping that that gift could be fanned into a flame. You, Timothy, have so many strengths of love and self-control, so don’t lose courage. Being friendly means we comfort a friend in difficult times, but also we encourage and acknowledge the other’s talents, gifts, and virtues. How can I bring a smile or joy to friends, colleagues or family members?
