Carrying Pain

It is always a profound tragedy when a child dies. We hear today of the many who were killed because of Herod’s hatred and paranoia. These innocent children are also among the witnesses to God becoming one of us as the messiah. What terror and grief would have struck those families. What pain many people silently carry with them today because of a loss. Christ comes among us as a comforter, a consoler, a healer. Don’t be afraid to reach out to him.
