A world-wide community

This Church, the Basilica of John Lateran, is the Pope’s Cathedral. It may remind us of the many magnificent churches throughout the world, and also the less grand. It is in the church building that we gather as a community to worship. This happens daily, all round the world. We, as individuals and little communities, are part of one very large number of people. Everywhere, people gathering to pray – to ask, thank, regret and simply be in awe of our God’s love for us. Take time to remember prayerfully our own church community. And pray for the communities of other religions, too. We are all God’s people, trying to be good!
