A new start

The trouble with retaliation, is that at first glance, it can all seem justified. Yet imagine a world, a country, a community and a family, free of the need to justify and retaliate. Jesus invites us to such a reality, not just to imagine this way of being but to become this reality by refusing retaliation. He is on his way to Jerusalem, and will not be distracted. Sometimes we can allow the need to 'get even' to distract us from the only matter that ever matters, doing the will of the Father.
