Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy comes in many forms. When words and actions disagree; when thoughts do not match outward expression; when inconsistency becomes a habit, or self-deception parades as truth… Humility is the antidote to hypocrisy. It matches the love of self with the love of neighbour and so does not deceive. O Jesus, you put up with false friends and blind critics who tried to distract you from your mission to serve. Help me follow your example, untroubled by falsehood and dishonesty, letting truth shine through loving service. Amen.
