Welcoming the stranger

As Paul travelled along the road to the ancient Syrian city of Damascus, he was struck to the ground by a bright light. Today's traveller could be struck by a missile fired by government troops or by rebel groups, as this city has for five years been ravaged by civil war. Thousands of men, women and children have died, been made homeless, or fled their city. How welcoming have we been to the Syrian refugees who are making new lives in our country?
