1 Corinthians 3:18-23, Ps 24, Luke 5:1-11

Into the depths

The deep water for the first Christians was the place of the unknown; fisherman brought up from the deep water strange creatures ugly to the eye. To this underworld the disciple is directed to go. There is no place where Christ is not: The light shines in the darkness and the darkness shall not overcome it (John 1:5). The disciple casts his net into the depths of society seeking those who desire to be set free.
