Ps 82; Wisdom 6:1-11; Luke 17:11-19

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst

The Psalm – “Defend the lowly and the fatherless; render justice to the afflicted and the destitute; rescue the lowly and the poor.” Once again we are being asked to do something, this time with those less fortunate. Matthew 25:41 reminds us of Christ’s command to do corporal works of mercy and the consequences of not doing them “….For I was hungry, and you gave me not to eat .…” So let’s get on with practicing social justice as much as we are able too. And give thanks for allowing us to have the ability to help others and for those who work towards social justice for all.
