The Beatitudes – You might spend a few minutes on today’s readings

Today we celebrate the lives of those souls who have achieved their reward in heaven. Shall we include those ‘saints’ who in the 1800s came to spread the faith in Australasia and the Pacific especially those from France and Ireland - they left family whom most would never see again, braved hazardous seas, testing climates, primitive and dangerous living conditions. Reflect on and thank God for their lives.
