The look of love

Jesus looks steadily at us and loves us. Are we open to that look of love? Do you recall the story of the old man who sits for hours in the church? The priest asks him what happens as he sits there. The old man replies: “I look at him and he looks at me.” Pope Francis reminds us that the Lord does not disappoint those who risk renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ. “Whenever we take a step towards Jesus, we come to realise that he is already there, waiting for us with open arms.” LS#3
