Welcoming Jesus

A woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. Her sister Mary sat down at Jesus’ feet and listened to him speaking. We can use our imagination to enter into this scripture passage. It’s more than imagination when we meet Jesus in the story. So let’s welcome Jesus now. Let’s sit and listen to Jesus speaking to us. Bring your busyness, anxiety and joys to Jesus. We are all both Martha and Mary. We are called to be contemplatives in action. We come back to the well constantly to draw water, to sit at Jesus’ feet. From there we are energised and nourished for our daily life.
