St Marcellin Champagnat

Tobit 12:1,5-15,20, Response – Canticle of Tobit 13:2, 6-8, Mark 12:38-44

Today success and fame are measured in what we do and have. Jesus on the other hand looks deeper, into the heart. Here we can become aware of what the truly ‘successful’ person is. They are humble and go about their business quietly, giving what they have with great love and concern for others. They give of themselves, and not from what is left over. We remember today St Marcellin Champagnat who gave tirelessly of himself for others, especially the young.
