By their fruits

God gives humanity the earth to cultivate and care for all that God has made. But humanity must never usurp God’s sovereignty as Creator. To eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would be tantamount to usurping the role of God. Such an affront would corrupt the human heart. There is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in every human heart. If we usurp the role of God, any good in us becomes corrupted. In the sight of God what is clean and unclean depends on the fruits that emerge from the heart.
