New Year’s Blessing

One year has ended, another begins. Just as Mary reflected on the great blessings she had received, we might also reflect today on all the blessings of the past year and “treasure all … and ponder them in (our) hearts”. As for the year ahead, I pray for you all today’s blessing from Numbers:

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord let his face shine on you and be gracious to you.

May the Lord show you his face and bring you peace.
