Be Generous

It can give great pleasure to be open-handed with friends and loved ones. Receiving thanks and praise for hospitality and being sure of a warm welcome in return is part of the fun. Jesus challenges us to take our big-heartedness further – to people we might overlook, to those who cannot repay us, to individuals and groups who may never know our names.

Loving Lord, thank you for your wisdom. Today I will try to look with your eyes for new ways to share my time and hospitality.
