More than just

Labourers were hired by the day in that time and place. A denarius just covered a family’s food, clothing and shelter costs for one day. The landowner was just to those employed at the first hour because he gave them the agreed wage. He was more than just to the eleventh hour employees. Had he not taken them on they and their wives and children would have spent the next twenty-four hours in misery. To be more than just is to be compassionate. What does the parable tell me about me?
