Saying sorry

We are called to get on with those we live with. The home or community is a good training ground for learning to say sorry when our actions hurt others. Spiritual maturity comes when we realize that hurting others is a sin and that our sin hurts God. This realization pleases God. Saying sorry to others is ordinary. Saying sorry to God in the sacrament of Reconciliation brings grace which helps us to do better next time we are tempted to hurt.
