The courage to give

The Child Poverty Monitor shows that almost a quarter of New Zealand children live in poverty - 270,000 of them. Today’s gospel about thousands of hungry people reminds us that its easy to be overwhelmed by numbers and to give up on solutions: “200 days’ wages worth of food would not be enough” and “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what good are these for so many?”

Well the “good” was this little guy gave everything he had over and that’s what made the difference.

Today lets give with what little or large we have to support others. A scary solution?
