Doing God’s work

Being entrusted to undertake God’s work places us in a similar position to the tenants entrusted to look after a vineyard for an absentee owner. Like the tenants, we have been given everything we need to do the work and the free will to decide how to use the available opportunities. If we make mistakes, God is infinitely patient, and forgives us again and again.

Lord, may I be conscientious in the way I manage the tasks you entrust to me so they bear fruit for you.
