Rules,
regulations and the Holy Spirit

The Gospel reveals the conflict between religion as a set of rules, and religion as loving God and neighbor. True religion can never be the product of the mind of people. It must always come, not from interpretations and manipulations, but from the simple product of listening to and accepting the voice of God through his Holy Spirit. Nothing in the rules should paralyse love. Am I careful never to let the rules prevent me from helping my neighbor?
