solemnity of Mary Mother of God

I am chosen

As 2014 dawns it is an opportunity to pause from frantic festivity. In a quiet place each day stop to pray and be open each day to the Word of God.

Starting now I open myself to identify with an ancient blessing from Aaron still used today [Num 6:22-27], a Psalm [66] asking God to shine light on my inner darkness, assurance that God has actually adopted me [Gal 4:4-7] and finally a Gospel calling me to treasure all I have received in my heart [Lk 2:16-21].
