SAINT JEROME

Zechariah 8:1-8, Psalm 102, Luke 9:46-50

Sing and dance

We live two lives – one natural, the other spiritual. We cannot undo the wrongs of our lives, but we can recall our earlier days to let the Lord recreate His essence in us. While singing and dancing may appear frivolous activities, they do speak of an utter abandonment to God’s will. We are more likely to find God in the innocence of youth than seeking political advantage.

Lord, make me grow into you from childhood to adulthood.
