Eat my words

Holy Scripture is unlike any other printed matter. Apparently black on white, it is “living and active,” it is spirit and life. So Jesus advises His disciples, and us, to dwell constantly on it. Because our minds cannot comprehend the words fully, they need time to mature and take root to deliver fruit in due season. Ezekiel even ate the scroll (which he found sweet). We should similarly feed on the Word, just as we feed on the Eucharist. Eventually, the hidden secrets will be revealed.
