Will you stay – or walk away?

In Judges the people ‘deserted the Lord … and followed other gods from the people around them.’ One amazing thing about God’s love is the insistence on our freedom to stay or walk away. The man in the gospel wanted Jesus’ affirmation as a good person worthy of eternal life. He didn’t want to be challenged to radical conversion. How tempted am I to fit the call to follow Jesus into a basically ‘good’ lifestyle? Do I limit God to certain areas of my life? Where is Jesus challenging me to conversion today and will I stay or walk away?
