Love takes grace, trust and gentle acceptance of self

We can be afraid of the vulnerability and pain of love. To love is to risk hurt, rejection, loss and grief. The daily challenge needs grace, trust and gentle acceptance of self. When we’re wounded, we face a choice. We can grow bitter and close off to love, or gently and patiently open our wounded heart to God. Can we dare trust the source of all love to heal and slowly make even our deepest pain rich compost capable of abundant new life? What wound, pain or vulnerability do I need to share with God today?
