Making tension holy

The trials associated with individuals all following Jesus bring tension to families and communities. If this tension is not made holy it causes disunity. Pride is at the heart of unresolved tension. My love for others and my need to be loved and belong stops my pride from doing too much damage. When I find myself in conflict with another, when the Christian sword enters my relationships I can choose to be holy and love and heal or to give pride a free reign and hurt and divide.
