Is the kingdom near?

Today we have many who are lost to the specific touch of Jesus in the sacraments. Can I proclaim to them that the kingdom of heaven is near? I can if it is near to me! This proclamation is not mere words but the living of a life focussed on bringing that kingdom into being in myself first and foremost.
