Seeking mercy

Mercy is a divine quality in love. Striving to be merciful is perhaps harder than painstakingly keeping rules and watching that others do the same. Still rules must be kept. When we seek the divine qualities in love our focus in life necessarily changes. We keep the rules, they do not keep us. We remain sinners seeking God’s mercy, learning about it, receiving it and passing it on lovingly to others around the table without thinking about it too much.
