The blessing of taxes

All of us benefit from taxes: pensions, social welfare, healthcare, roads, education, law and order. We are all recipients of the beneficence of God.

By paying taxes, we enable God’s work to be done through the actions, duties, responsibilities and commitment of others. By paying taxes, we are fulfilling part of God’s mission to us to care for others.

Tax avoidance steals from God; steals from our neighbour; steals from ourselves. Tax avoidance prevents the love of God being revealed in our daily lives.

Is my conscience clear?
