Light and dark

Jesus tells Nicodemus there are no shades of grey – you either believe or you do not. Live in the light of Christ or do evil and live in the dark. Similarly, the Jewish leaders lived in the dark and their evil was exposed by the apostles. Truth can be obscured or complicated by so many things. Do we see our choices as clearly as the apostles did, or are they obscured by darkness? Can we see the wood for the trees?

Lord, help us to see clearly.
