A personal relationship

The two disciples on the road to Emmaus at first saw Jesus as a stranger, and did not recognize him until the breaking of the bread. Yet they looked back and realised he had been with them all the time they were on the road. How often have we looked back and realised that he has been with us all the time? Lord, help me to understand the personal relationship you have with me.
